GRANULAR FRONT HOPPER
The Horizon FT3200 hopper provides seamless delivery of a large volume of granular product to either the MDSX, PPX planter or the SPX Strip-till cultivator.
The FT3200 utilizes a fully pressurized hopper, powerful turbine and two independent metering units as standard, one for each section, enabling it to handle large volumes of granular product. With a 3200L capacity, it is one of the largest granular hoppers on the market while remaining appropriately sized for road transport. The metering system utilizes the same technology as the Horizon DSX, providing the operator with accurate application, a selection of metering rotors to suit different products and rates, and the ability to apply two different products from separate sections. An optional third hopper fits inside the main hopper, creating a 50:40:10 split with its own dedicated metering unit for even greater flexibility.

Optional Third Hopper
For operators who need even more flexibility, the FT3200 can be configured with an optional third hopper that fits inside the main hopper. This changes the split from 60:40 to 50:40:10 and adds a third metering unit, giving the operator a dedicated section for a third product. It is ideal for small-quantity or micro-granular products such as slug pellets, allowing three different products to be applied in a single pass.
Combined with the FT3200's selection of metering rotors, each section can be matched to its product and application rate, saving time, passes and fuel.
RotorPro Metering System
RotorPro is a precision-engineered granular metering unit, built on Horizon’s proven metering unit architecture and refined for modern high-performance drilling systems, RotorPro delivers consistent, accurate product delivery across a wide range of seed and fertiliser types.
RotorPro uses a precision-machined, interchangeable fluted rotor system housed within a sealed metering body. Product flows from the hopper into the metering chamber, where the selected rotor positively carries material from the inlet to the outlet at a controlled rate.
Output is regulated by:
Rotor selection (volume per revolution)
Drive speed control (mechanical or electric)
Consistent chamber sealing and airflow management
The positive displacement design ensures repeatable metering across variable field conditions, maintaining accuracy regardless of terrain, vibration or material density.
When paired with electronic drive systems, RotorPro enables variable rate application, section control compatibility and seamless integration with modern ISOBUS platforms.
Seeding Configurations
The FT3200 features two metering units as standard, or three with the optional third hopper. Each metering unit is paired with an injector box, which allows operators to direct seed flow into specific seed hoses if required. This allows a combination of different seeding configurations, and can easily be adjusted depending on requirements.
